Breakthrough in Biopesticides: Laminaria japonica Polysaccharides (Laminarin) Set for ICAMA Approval in China

The Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (ICAMA) recently released its list of proposed pesticide registrations. Featured prominently is the biopesticide product submitted by Laboratoires Goëmar, a French leader in seaweed-based solutions.

This notification confirms that the product has successfully navigated the rigorous technical review process by ICAMA’s expert committee. Once the public notice period concludes, the product will be officially granted a registration certificate, marking its formal entry into the Chinese agricultural market.

Laminaria japonica polysaccharides, commonly known as Laminarin, function differently from traditional chemical fungicides.
