Trinh Xuan Hoat

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh Xuan Hoat holds an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in plant pathology and biotechnology from Kobe University, Japan. Currently serving as the Deputy Director General of the Plant Protection Research Institute at the Vietnam Academy of Agricultural Sciences, he specializes in the identification and molecular taxonomy of plant pathogens, encompassing fungi, bacteria, viruses, and phytoplasmas. His research also focuses on the study and development of diagnostic technologies based on DNA and protein technologies. Additionally, Dr. Hoat is involved in the application of effective microorganisms for the management of plant insects and diseases.
