DA offers use of drone to map out farms, apply fertilizers

The Department of Agriculture (DA) Cagayan Valley is offering the use of its drone in drawing maps and in applying fertilizers in farms across the region.
DA Regional Executive Director Rose Mary Aquino said their drone services for biofertilizer utilization under the Masagana Rice Industry Development Program, aims to enhance rice productivity and promote sustainable agriculture in Cagayan Valley.
Aquino said the biofertilizer utilization services involve drone mapping to optimize fertilizer application and monitoring rice fields more efficiently in various provinces of region 02.
“By utilizing advanced technology, we ensure precise and data-driven agricultural practices, enabling farmers to maximize their yield potential while reducing input costs,” she said.
