MustGrow reports strong potato yield gains from organic TerraSante biofertilizer

MustGrow Biologics Corp. said on Wednesday that its organic TerraSante biofertility product delivered substantial improvements in potato yields, size and quality in commercial farming trials in Washington State and Idaho, adding to evidence that the mustard-derived input could boost returns for growers.
According to a report by Angela Harmantas for Proactive, a Washington State farmer using TerraSante at 11 pounds per acre on a large commercial field reported an estimated increase of about US$5,000 in value per acre, compared with a cost of roughly US$180 per acre for the biofertilizer, the company said.
Trials in Idaho also showed improvements in soil health and potato crop condition when used within existing production programs.
